I'm back!

There's nothing like John Wall doing my namesake dance to snap me out of my writing malaise and force me to return. You've got to love what he's doing here, from the ridiculously fluid up and down to the addition of "the John Wall" to the already tremendous Dougie routine. I know this sounds weird, but I am amazed at how coordinated this guy is. The whole thing is just one continuous motion, no breaks or pauses. And it's not exactly his first rodeo dancing with the panache of the immortal Patrick Swayze. Watch how he dominates former Celtic great (for one day) Tiny Gallon. As an aside, when has someone named "Tiny" not been at least 40 pounds overweight?

It should come as no surprise that he promptly went out and almost dropped a triple-double in his home opener, putting up an absurd 29 point, 13 assist, 9 steal performance. He's the first player in NBA history to put up those kind of numbers in one game, the fourth to put up a 20-10 in his home debut, and the second to put up 70-30 total in his first three games. Or, in other words, he's good. Doesn't make me feel great about the 3:2 odds I got on Blake Griffin for rookie of the year. Either way, I'm looking forward to his next innovation in dancing so he can reach the upper echelon of memorable dancers. And if he ever gets frustrated, he can just take a page out of Kevin Bacon's book...
